You are a translucent slime the size of a small animal, and the planet under you is covered in things bigger than you are. Roll over the grass and swallow it. Then the flowers, then the fence, then the sheep that was ignoring you a minute ago. Every bite makes you heavier, and every kilogram of mass moves the edge of what you can eat a little further out. There is nothing to fail. No timers, no enemies, no currency to manage. A building too large to swallow simply pushes back and bends you around it, until it does not. The pleasure is watching the scale of the world turn over: the tree that filled your screen becomes a snack, the car becomes a crumb, the skyscraper becomes the next goal. Clear one planet and the galaxy map opens the next, each with its own look, its own skyline and its own ladder of things to devour. Hats, trails and skins are yours to collect along the way, purely so your slime looks the way you want while it eats a world. How to play: hold the left mouse button and drag where you want to roll, or use WASD and the arrows. On a phone, touch the screen and drag; the slime follows your finger. Everything else is automatic.

Neverball is a 3D ball-rolling game in the lineage of Marble Madness and Super Monkey Ball. You guide a ball through obstacle courses by tilting the ground beneath it using your mouse, keyboard, or joystick. The ball has real physics and real momentum, which means every slight tilt matters, every overcorrection sends you careening toward an edge, and every narrow bridge becomes a test of nerve. The floor moves. The ball reacts. You try not to fall into the void. Each level has a simple goal: collect enough coins to activate the exit pad, then reach it before time runs out. Yellow coins are worth 1, red coins 5, blue coins 10. Collect 100 total and you earn an extra life. The levels start gentle enough, teaching you how the tilt-and-roll relationship works. Then they introduce moving platforms. Then mazes. Then pushers that shove your ball sideways. Then narrow ramps over bottomless drops with moving obstacles and a 30-second timer. The difficulty curve goes from "pleasant Sunday puzzle" to "controller-gripping precision platformer" across 183 levels. Three highscore categories per level reward different playstyles: most coins collected, fastest time to unlock the goal, and fastest time to complete the level. Speedrunning and coin-optimization runs require completely different approaches to the same course, which gives every level at least two reasons to replay it.

You play as the titular Teacup, a shy and introverted young frog who loves drinking tea and reading. The day before she is to host a tea party at her house, she realizes she is completely out of tea, and thus must venture into the woods around her to find the herbs she needs to restock her pantry. You are free to tackle the list of ingredients Teacup must gather in any order you wish. Find your own path through the world of Little Pond. During your adventure you will meet the charming inhabitants of the forest. Some are talkative, some are grumpy, but all of them will lend you an ear on your adventure. Most of the animals you meet will be glad to help Teacup… in exchange for a small favor or some help. Organize a (oddly shaped) market stall, win an underwater race and more!

A Dark Room is a text-based RPG released in 2013 by Canadian indie studio Doublespeak Games. You start in a cold shack. There's a fireplace. There's a button that says "stoke the fire." You click it. Your wood counter ticks down. A short cooldown passes. You click it again. And then, the world expands. Every time you think you've found the edges, A Dark Room reveals that what you've been playing is actually nested inside something bigger and stranger than you expected. Evan's Remains is a mystery-thriller puzzle adventure about finding a missing boy: Evan. The game combines logic-based platform puzzles with narrative inspired by Japanese graphic adventure games. Gameplay: Every time the player solves from two to three puzzles, the story goes forward and new mechanics are introduced. The challenge of the puzzles lies in the player’s ability to figure out what do rather than solve challenges based on skill. As the difficulty curve increases, the puzzles become more complex by combining two or more previously introduced mechanics. Story: Evan, the genius boy, has been missing for years. One day, a letter signed by him is received, claiming he’s on an uninhabited island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. Nobody knows why, but he asked specifically for a girl named “Dysis” to go and look for him. The player will take control of this girl, who we don’t know much about. As we follow Dysis’s adventure, questions will start to be answered little by little. All of the little puzzle pieces which seemed unrelated in the beginning will now begin to slowly fit together as the truth is slowly revealed.

You never touch the car. Dizzy Dish gives you exactly one control: the spin of the giant dish the car is sitting in. Everything else is physics. Friction between the turning floor and the wheels drags the car around with it, centrifugal force throws it outward and up the sloping wall, and gravity pulls it back down toward the middle the moment you ease off. Somewhere between those forces is a speed that holds the car exactly where you want it. Find it, steer the car into the dimple half way out from the centre, and keep it there for two seconds to win. One warning, because it is the thing everyone tries first: spinning the other way does not pull the car back in. Centrifugal force does not care which direction you turn. The only way back to the middle is to let the spin die down. Hold LEFT or RIGHT, or push a gamepad stick. That is the whole game.
