An open world MMO rogue lite where you dig to the depths of the world, find gems, and return to the surface for massive upgrades and loot. But beware, the deeper you go, the less likely you will make it back.
In the early 1980s, a computer game emerged that changed the world of fantasy gaming forever. Randomly generated rooms meant that each journey into the infamous Dungeons of Doom was unique. The potent combination of random generation with perma-death proved to be intoxicating, and the game was so influential it spawned an entire genre: "Rogue-likes". Now you too can experience the thrill of dungeon crawling for the fabled Amulet of Yendor in this pioneering game. The original Rogue had many different versions and variations, and was ported to a wide variety of computer platforms. This particular version is Epyx Rogue, one of the earliest versions designed for commercial distribution, ported to MSDOS on the IBM PC, and is v1.49 of that port. Battle dozens of unique and powerful enemies. Gather armor, weapons, food and other items to help you on your quest. Scour rooms for secret hidden doors and traps. Discover strange magical spells and potions, which have different wonderous effects every time you play the game. Survive through 26 randomly generated levels, each more tricky and dangerous than the last, to find the Amulet, then escape... if you can!

Survive a gothic graveyard until the last bell falls silent. Choose a silver-round gunslinger, an occultist, a poison-brewing chirurgeon or an iron-clad penitent, then build a different arsenal from dozens of upgrades. Dodge the horde, claim sanctuary, and face the Bellkeeper across three escalating encounters. Weapons attack automatically; movement, timing and your chosen powers keep you alive.
The building is coming down and the elevator is dead. Every floor is a 10–25 second sprint: dodge the falling ceiling, time your run past fire vents and lasers, wade through flooding offices, stomp security bots, and cross bridges that won't hold — while the floor collapses behind you. Every three floors, pick one of three upgrades: double jump, dash, shotgun, time slow, shield, explosive landing and more. They stack, so by floor 30 you're ridiculous and so is the building. Every tenth floor, The Wrecker is waiting. Die, and you're climbing again in two seconds. Chase your personal best, race to floor 25, and take on the Daily Tower — the same building for everyone, every day, with its own leaderboard.
Disclaimer: This is a prototype created in two weeks. There may be various bugs and balance issues with abilities and enemies. ROLLREND combines the RNG of dice, the skill of Breakout, and the strategy of ability stacking into a fast-paced, single-screen fantasy dungeon battle. You are trapped in a dungeon where the creatures never stop coming. Face an endless loop of increasingly powerful bosses and survive for as long as you can. Each battle takes place in a single arena filled with dice. Launch the ball and use your paddle to keep it bouncing, aiming for the dice you want to hit. When the ball strikes a die, its color and value determine what happens next. The real strategy begins with your ability stack. After defeating a boss, you can obtain a unique ability and add it to your stack. The order of your abilities matters, allowing you to create powerful and unexpected combinations. Build your stack carefully and turn a lucky roll into a devastating chain reaction. Luck may decide what you roll. Skill decides what you hit. Strategy decides what happens next. How many bosses can you defeat before the dungeon overwhelms you? Controls Mobile Tap & drag — Aim and control the paddle Tap — Interact with dice, abilities and menus PC Mouse — Aim and control the paddle Arrow Keys — Move the paddle / aim / navigate panels Space — Launch the ball / confirm selections Mouse click — Interact with UI elements Made with Defold Engine Created for the Defold Game Jam 2026 — Chain Reaction.
