2048 is a free, open-source puzzle game created in 2014 by a 19-year-old Italian web developer named Gabriele Cirulli, who built it over a single weekend and published it on GitHub under the MIT License. It went on to consume roughly four million human lives in its first week. Not because it's complicated — it's the opposite of complicated — but because your brain will not let you stop. Here's the deal. You've got a 4×4 grid. Two tiles are sitting on it, each showing the number 2. You swipe in a direction — up, down, left, right — and every tile on the board slides that way until it hits a wall or another tile. If two tiles with the same number collide, they merge into one tile worth their sum. Two 2s become a 4. Two 4s become an 8. Two 8s become a 16. After every swipe, a new tile (usually a 2, occasionally a 4) pops up in a random empty space. Your goal is to keep combining tiles until you forge the mythical 2048 tile. The problem is that every move spawns a new tile, the grid is only 16 squares, and the moment you can't move — because every space is full and no neighbors match — you're dead. It's basically a territory war between you and entropy, and entropy is very patient. The strategy is deceptively deep for something with four inputs. Experienced players will tell you to pick a corner, keep your biggest tile parked there, and build a descending cascade along one edge — sort of like organizing a shelf where the heaviest books go on one end. The moment you let a big tile drift into the middle, your board starts to choke. You'll develop opinions about this. You'll start swiping left in your sleep. This is normal. It's free, it's open-source, it runs in any browser, and a round takes about ten minutes — or four hours, depending on how many times you whisper "one more try" to yourself. You should play it right now. You should also clear your afternoon.

🔗 Cross-Link is a puzzle game about connections — drawing lines between matching stars to form constellations, then crossing those lines to make them vanish. Each level is a star map waiting to be untangled: pair up the dots, weave your lines across each other, and watch the night sky clear one crossing at a time. # How to Play - Connect the dots – Tap a colored star, then tap another star of the same color to draw a line between them. - Cross to clear – When two or more lines cross, all connected pairs disappear. The goal is to clear all stars from the board. - Plan your moves – The order in which you connect pairs matters. Think ahead to create crossings that clear multiple pairs at once. - Deselect – Tap a selected star again to cancel, or tap anywhere else on the screen. # Credits - Sci-Fi Music by alkakrab: https://alkakrab.itch.io/free-sci-fi-music-2 - Pixel Combat by Helton Yan & Beto Bezerra: https://heltonyan.itch.io/pixelcombat - Sound Effects by Shapeforms: https://shapeforms.itch.io/shapeforms-audio-free-sfx

Jack’s, 2’s & 8’s A quiet hand across the table. Jacks, Twos & Eights is a shedding card game the way it’s actually played at the kitchen table — house rules, held grudges and all. Match the pile by suit or rank, shed every card in your hand before anyone else, and time your trick cards for maximum outrage. Easy to learn in one hand. Dangerous to play with family. Pip’s House Rules Twos bite — the next player picks up two… unless they stack a 2 of their own. Watch it snowball to four, six, eight. Sevens skip — the next player misses a go. Deliciously petty. Eights press on — take another turn, but you must follow your own 8 or draw. The magical Jack — play it on anything, any time, and call the suit the whole table must follow. Ways to Play Against the computer — take on Pip, Mabel and Otto, three opponents who shed high, hoard their Jacks, and save their 2s for the exact moment you’re down to your last card. Free, on this device. Around one screen — classic pass-the-mouse for 2–4 players on the same table. Also free. Online — host a public table anyone can find, keep a private room behind a code and an invite link, or browse open games and sit down. Two to four players. Unlock Play online once; CPU and pass-the-mouse stay free. A Table Worth Sitting At A hand-drawn deck — mirrored court cards, ornate aces, traditional pip layouts — on a lamplit green felt table. Every card is really dealt: riffle-shuffled from the stock, flipped mid-air, slid into your fan. Drag your card onto the pile, or just click it home. A soft, papery soundscape — shuffles, snaps and felt thumps — with not a single beep in it. Quick hands. A game takes minutes; the rematch takes seconds. On WaveDash your signed-in name sits on the scoreboard. Climb Total Wins against the computer (Easy, Medium, Hard), and Online Wins once you’ve unlocked the real tables. For the Uninitiated A beautifully illustrated in-game guide teaches the rules in under a minute — because the fastest way to learn Jacks, Twos & Eights is to lose your first hand to someone’s grandmother.
