Everybody who walks in wants a gun. Not everybody walks out.
Night after night, you run a gun shop with the lights low and the rain loud. A PS1-style noir where every sale is a bet on who's standing across the counter. Sell to the wrong person and the night ends badly. Refuse the right one and you're short on rent. Shoot first and you'd better be right.
THE JOB
Read your customers: collectors, hunters, nervous first-timers, a kid who shouldn't be here. Some are cops, robbers or hired killers.
Hit your quota before dawn: pull guns off the wall, sell them on the tablet, keep the boss happy.
Draw fast, but not on everyone. Trigger-happy shops get raided.
THE NIGHT HAS ITS OWN SCHEDULE
The phone rings: the boss warns you, an informant tips you off. Sometimes the caller just breathes, then hangs up.
The radio keeps score: tonight's news catches up with the guns you sold.
Headlights in the window: a patrol car rolls past. Holster your gun, or they'll come in.
