A Dark Room

A Dark Room is a text-based RPG released in 2013 by Canadian indie studio Doublespeak Games. You start in a cold shack. There's a fireplace. There's a button that says "stoke the fire." You click it. Your wood counter ticks down. A short cooldown passes. You click it again. And then, the world expands. Every time you think you've found the edges, A Dark Room reveals that what you've been playing is actually nested inside something bigger and stranger than you expected. We won't spoil where it ends up, but the distance between "click to stoke the fire" and the final reveal is vast.

Your choices change who trades, who teaches, who hunts you, and how the story ends.

Open supply chests for new gear, level up, wire your skill circuits, and defeat each Core Master to copy its special weapon.

Pacenote Rally

A night rally racing game where your co-driver's pacenotes are your only map. Your headlights reach 30 meters, and the road keeps going. Your co-driver reads the road ahead. Each pacenote card tells you which way the next corner turns and how hard: 1 is flat out, 6 is a hairpin. Trust the notes, keep your foot down, and drive the road you can't see yet. Fourteen stages in two zones: Pine Night, with thick fog on the last five, and Rain Pass, wet mountain roads where the tires grip less Pacenotes on screen and read out loud, so you can play with sound off Beat the gold time on every stage to earn three stars Earn coins to upgrade your headlights, tires, engine and chassis in the garage Chain perfect corners into a combo for bonus coins A new Daily stage every day, and a ghost of your best run on every stage Steer with the Left and Right arrows or A and D, and brake with Down or S. P pauses, R restarts the stage, M mutes and G opens the garage after a stage. On a touch screen, hold the left or right side to steer and both sides to brake.

SweatyPanzer

SweatyPanzer is a free multiplayer tank game that runs in the browser. Pick a nickname and drive: no account needed. Arena is the main mode, an endless free for all where every tank fights every other, bots included. Each kill repairs your tank and draws three cards: pick one to raise an upgrade or swap into a different tank. Die and your build starts over, so staying alive is how a build grows. The map changes every 6 minutes and you keep your tank, upgrades and kills. Ten kills in one life put a bounty on you that everyone can see. Clash is the team mode: 4v4, one life a round, best of five. Between rounds you change tank and spend salvage on upgrades. Armour is real. Angle your plates to bounce shells, and aim for the weak spots on the tank and the turret. Fourteen tanks, from the light Luchs to the heavy Tiger, handle and hit differently, and levels unlock more of them.

Wisp Legends

Wisp Legends is a colorful fantasy action game about brave little spirits. Guard the glowing lantern in Wisp Siege, explore lantern-lit forest paths and grow stronger with every run. In Wisp Siege, endless waves of foes march toward your lantern. Your hero attacks on its own while you move, collect orbs and level up. Every level-up offers new skill cards: keep them for your hero or drag them onto the field as wisps that fight beside you. Upgrade your wisps with gold, place them close together so they grow stronger, and bind two wisps into a combo that strikes together. When the pressure rises, unleash a lantern burst or mend the lantern’s light before it goes out. How long can you hold the line? Between sieges, follow sunny forest paths through lantern-lit dusk to an old shrine and its final boss.

Night Plow

A night snow plow driving game. Snow fell all night on the mountain pass. The first bus leaves the village at 6:00, and you drive the only plow. Push the snow off the road before dawn. Every meter you clear shows on the road behind you, and the cleaner the road, the more stars you get. Clear the pass before the first bus arrives at 6:00 Heavy snow slows you down, so pick your line through the bends. Your blade cuts a clean dark lane, and every pass leaves tire tracks behind A bell rings at 50, 75 and 90 percent of the road cleared Five stretches of the pass, each longer and deeper in snow than the last, each with its own weather, ending in a storm at the summit A new snowfall every day, with a bonus for each day in a row Steer with the Left and Right arrows or A and D, and brake with Down, S or Space. On touch screens, hold the left or right side to steer and both sides to brake.

Night Checkpoint

A night checkpoint inspection game. You run the barrier on a mountain pass, alone, after midnight. Cars come out of the fog one at a time. Shine your flashlight on the plate, the driver and the back seat, check them against tonight's notice, then raise the barrier or turn them away. Most cars are fine. Some are not quite right. Ten nights, each with new rules on tonight's notice Ten kinds of wrong to spot: a mirrored plate, an empty driver's seat, papers that don't match, a car you already let through, and more Read a driver's papers and keep the slip in your hand to check it against the plate Three mistakes and something gets through After each night, see exactly what you missed Controls: drag to look around the booth, click or tap the plate, a window or the back seat to shine your flashlight there, then Raise barrier or Turn away. Works the same with mouse and touch. Keyboard: A or Left to turn away, D or Right to raise the barrier, M to mute.

Internet Cafe: Idle Tycoon

Your uncle's failing back-alley internet cafe is yours now. Open with 6 seats, buy gear, place it where it earns, and hire staff to keep the shop running - a cozy management tycoon. Level up each machine individually; better seats attract better-paying guests. Six stages, from the alley to nationwide. Hit the revenue mark and the whole room gets bigger, and the story with your uncle continues at every stage. A day lasts 2 minutes, with up to 3x speed.

Merge Legions

Merge Legions is an auto-battler roguelite built on one verb: drag a unit onto its twin. Buy elementals from the shop, merge identical ones into 50 ever-stranger forms across eight families, and arrange a five-slot battle line. Then watch it fight another commander's army. Pair families for traits, collect relics, topple bosses, and claim the crown with ten wins. Your best legion keeps defending your Garrison while you're away.

Survivalist

You start with three survivors and one road. Every gate is worth more the longer your squad shoots it — hold fire on a +1 and watch it climb to +20. But gates come in pairs with a lethal pillar between them, so you have to pick a side: the ×3, or the +18, and never the ÷5. Break green crates to hit harder and blue ones to shoot faster, dodge everything solid, and kill what is coming down the lane. Every stage ends with a boss. Die, and it comes back weaker.

Tower Siege

Build a tower out of the blocks you are dealt, then defend it. Between waves you get a hand of four shapes — walls, archers, cannons, mortars, tesla coils — and a short window to place them. Then the horde arrives: goblins, boar-beasts, burning hounds, bone knights and siege engines that out-range everything you own. Blocks that lose their support fall, and falling rubble crushes whatever is underneath. Spend wood, stone and gold, unlock the tech tree, and see how deep you can get.

Aethel Fold

A paper army marches across a pop-up storybook, and you are the hand that folds it. Swipe the dotted creases to raise walls, snap ravines shut on marching knights, fling catapults back with a flap and tear the castle towers flat. Six hand-crafted pages build from a border skirmish to a siege, then the castle itself unfolds into an origami dragon. Break its creases, make the last fold, and watch it become a very confused frog.

Tear through neon waves of foes as a living swarm, scoop up soul shards, trigger powerful mutations, and merge your splinters back into mighty Champions and Kings. Spend souls between rounds to permanently upgrade your build, then claw through 50 escalating stages of bullet-hell chaos. Theme: OVERPOWERED — how long can you stay on top?

Glyphyx

Glyphyx is a 90-second tactical duel on a 4×4 stone board. Every turn you drag one rune pebble onto a tile and swipe the direction it faces — and so does your enemy, in secret. Then everything fires at once: swords strike, bows skip a tile, arcane beams cut diagonals, shields absorb, crosses heal. Stack two matching runes into a Level 2 powerhouse, shatter enemy stones into rubble, and claim their tiles. Hold eight and you win. Fight three factions at once in the siege campaign, chain victories for up to 3× gold, and unlock new runes and skins.

Reaper Goo

Death has a new shape, and it is adorable. You are a squishy little slime wearing a Reaper's cloak, dragging a scythe three times your size. Slither through medieval villages devouring everything smaller than you — bugs, peasants, chickens, knights, siege engines, whole castles. Every bite makes you bigger, faster and hungrier, until the map that once towered over you fits in your mouth. Five growth tiers. Slapstick deaths. One finger to play.

Auroras Magic

A gesture-driven magic duel. Draw a triangle for fire, a wave for wind, a Z for ice, a square for earth. Rough shapes are fine: the rune reader is built to forgive. Stack up to three runes and cast them together. Every combination is a different spell, from a quick Fire Bolt to a three-rune Prism Nova. Watch your rival's rune form above her horn and answer with a barrier. The sky keeps score: a rainbow as you win, rain as you lose.
