Penguin Curling

evgenyboxer

Cosy 3D curling with a round, chubby penguin, against a very smug walrus.

That's the only thing to do: aim, hold to set the weight, and let go. Your penguin slides out of the hack, lets the stone go and starts sweeping. Tap, tap, tap: the stone glides further and straighter, curls round the guard and settles on the button with a clack. Walter the walrus will have something to say either way.

  • The very first stone glides straight onto the button. The puffin crowd cheers, confetti flies, "+3".
  • Walter plays you with the same physics you throw on. He puts up guards, peels your stones out of the house, taunts your misses, and gets louder venue by venue until he is SHOUTING in his own palace.
  • Granite that thocks and clacks, a swishing brush, a soft trail as the stone curls, slow motion on a near takeout, and a jolt of hit stop when stones collide.
  • Four handmade frozen sheets at blue hour: a lantern-lit pond in a snowy pine forest, a fjord under the aurora, a harbour of fishing huts and a glittering ice palace.
  • A new Daily Ice every day, the same for everyone: five stones against a preset layout with a fast patch, frost or a crosswind, plus a streak and its own leaderboard.
  • Three goals a match to earn stars. Stars unlock stones (sea glass, moss, lantern, snowflake, a fish), hats and scarves. There's also an Ice Journal of 32 stories and true penguin and curling facts.

24 rival matches in four venues, 72 stars and 26 achievements.

Cosy, not fussy: an end takes under a minute, a match about five. Relaxed draws the whole slide and Walter goes easy. Expert gives you a short line, changing ice and a very sharp walrus.

Penguin Curling is free to play. Every match, the Daily Ice, all three difficulties and every unlock are in the free game, earned by playing. No paid content, no ads.

Plays on desktop and phones: one thumb, a mouse or the keyboard alone, portrait or landscape. Progress is saved to your Wavedash account.
