Little Bear Fishing

evgenyboxer

A cute bear cub in a red knit hat fishes from a tiny wooden canoe across four handmade lakes.

That's the only thing to do: hold to swing the rod back and let go to cast, wait for the bobber to plunge and tap to hook it, then hold to reel and let go when the fish runs, keeping the line in the green until it's at the canoe.

  • Every fish pops up in a "Caught!" card as a little 3D model, with its weight, its length, its rarity and a new record when it's your biggest yet.
  • Hook it on the very first frame of the plunge for a PERFECT hook, and a chime climbs higher with every perfect hook in a row.
  • Fish leap clear of the water mid-fight in a burst of spray. On the fifth day of every lake, a dark swirl rises and the lake's legend takes the bait: the Pine King, Old Whiskers, the Amber Empress and the Starlight Sturgeon.
  • Gran Heron, a smug old heron in spectacles and a lilac shawl, fishes every lake before you and sets the weight to beat. "Pfft, a minnow," she says, until you land something big and she bows.
  • Four lakes, each with its own light and life: Misty Pine Pond at dawn with a moose by the cabin, Sunny Reed Lake at noon with dragonflies and a red boathouse, Amber Falls at sunset under a waterfall, and Starlight Lake at night with fireflies and the aurora.
  • The Daily Lake is the same lake, weather and featured fish for everyone each day, with its own leaderboard and a streak to keep.

40 species to collect in your Fish Log, each with a real fish fact and a size record, plus golden fish, lake lore, 24 achievements and 20 fishing days that grow richer and wilder.

It's a cosy game. A day is about two minutes, nothing bad happens when a fish gets away, and Cozy mode has a wide green zone and a line that never snaps. Normal and Expert are there for beating Gran Heron at her best.

Little Bear Fishing is free to play. Every lake, day, mode and difficulty is in the free game. Rods, lures, bobbers, canoe paints, hats, scarves and a pet duckling come from shells you earn by catching fish, or from milestones. You never pay money for them. There is no paid content and there are no ads.

Plays on desktop and phones, with a keyboard, a mouse or one thumb, in portrait or landscape. Your Fish Log and progress are saved to your Wavedash account.
