A little hedgehog in a straw hat grows a whole garden out of words.
That's the only thing to do: drag across the ring of wooden letter seeds (or tap them, or just type) to spell a word, and a plant springs up in the soil. The longer the word, the bigger the plant: three letters make a daisy, five a lilac bush, and seven or more a whole apple tree with a fanfare. Fill the plot before the sun sets.
41 plants to collect in the Seed Catalogue, each with a real plant fact and a line of garden lore, plus golden variants, 14 pages of the garden's story, 24 achievements and 20 garden days, all over a bundled dictionary of more than 54,000 family-friendly words.
It's a cosy game. A day is about two minutes, a wrong word just wobbles, and in Cozy mode the sun waits for you and Mister Crow keeps his claws to himself. Normal lets Mister Crow steal, and Expert brings shorter days, more weeds and more frost.
Hedgehog Word Garden is free to play. Every season, day, mode and difficulty is in the free game. Hats, aprons, watering cans, garden gnomes, fence paints and Shelly the pet snail come from acorns you earn by planting words, or from milestones. You never pay money for them. There is no paid content and there are no ads.
Plays on desktop and phones, with a keyboard, a mouse or a finger, in landscape or portrait. Your catalogue and progress are saved to your Wavedash account.
