Piano Jumper was created for js13kGames 2026: Unicorns and Rainbows. A unicorn walks a piano keyboard seen from the side. Moving is playing: crossing from one key to the next sounds that note. Play the tune, and the rainbow above completes itself. ## Controls - Arrow keys, or the on-screen buttons on touch. - Hold Space (or JUMP) and release to leap. Hold longer to go farther. - Release with no direction held to hop in place. ## How to Play 1. The next note is highlighted. Blue means you can walk there. 2. Yellow means it needs a jump. Watch the landing marker while you charge. 3. A repeated note is a hop in place, not a step. 4. Black keys are obstacles, not platforms. Land on one and you play a wrong note. Clear at 80% accuracy. The song always finishes — a rough run just leaves the rainbow gap-toothed, and you still get to hear your take played back. Every white key is in C major, so a fumbled note stays in tune. Only the black keys sound wrong. ## Features - Four public domain tunes: Ode to Joy, London Bridge, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, When the Saints Go Marching In. - Melody only, generated with oscillators. No audio files. - The rainbow is the progress bar, the score and the pass condition in one object — one wedge per note. Its seven colours are the seven white keys of an octave. - A replay of your performance after every song, wrong notes and all. - The entire game is a single HTML file under 13KB. Created by WAKKIN.
