Otter Surf

evgenyboxer

A cute sea otter surfs rolling 3D waves: carve the face, launch off the lip, flip, and duck into the barrel.

That's the only thing to do: hold to carve up the wave, let go to drop back down, and let go at the glowing lip to fly. Swipe in the air for spins and flips, land straight, and every clean trick banks into your combo.

  • Pump up and down the face for speed, then snap off the lip in a burst of spray, or float right along the top of it.
  • Slow down in a hollow section and the lip throws over you: the camera swings down the line and you're in the barrel, where hidden pearls glow.
  • Stack a 540, a Rodeo or an Otter Roll and a chime climbs with every trick in the chain. Land sloppy and the chain breaks with a splash and a comic tumble, nothing worse.
  • Pierre the pelican, sunglasses on, rides every wave before you and sets the score to beat. He heckles your wipeouts and, grudgingly, salutes your big combos.
  • Four handmade beaches, each with its own waves and sky: Kelp Cove at sunrise, Lighthouse Point at golden hour, Storm Reef in the rain and lightning, and Glow Lagoon, where the foam lights up blue under the moon.
  • The Daily Swell is one wave for everyone each day, with its own leaderboard and a streak to keep. Your best ride comes back as a ghost to race.

26 named tricks to discover, 32 Surf Journal entries of real otter and surf facts and beach lore, 24 achievements, and 20 escalating heats with bigger swell, closeouts, rocks, gulls and jellyfish.

It's a friendly game: a heat is about a minute, a wipeout is a splash and a squeak, and Chill mode balances your landings and never wipes you out. Normal and Pro are for chasing Pierre's crown.

Otter Surf is free to play. Every beach, heat, mode and difficulty is in the free game. Boards, hats, scarves and wakes in the Surf Shack are bought with pearls you find in barrels or earned with milestones, never with money. There is no paid content and there are no ads.

Plays on desktop and phones, with keyboard, mouse or one thumb, in portrait or landscape. Your progress is saved to your Wavedash account.
