Massif

Climb the real Mont Blanc massif, one hand at a time.

MASSIF is a physics climbing game where each mouse button is one of your hands. Hold to grip, let go to reach, pull yourself up, and try not to look down. Start on a sunny crag in Chamonix and work your way up eight famous climbs to the 4,807 m summit of Mont Blanc.

Every climb is a real peak, placed where it really sits in the massif. Hang off the Aiguille du Midi above a sea of clouds, dodge rockfall on Les Drus, fight the gusts on the Dent du Géant, and climb the Grandes Jorasses North Face before dawn by head torch.

  • Two-handed grip system: every move is your decision, and every fall is your fault
  • Stamina for each arm, plus jugs, crimps, slopers and ice to read
  • Real rope physics: bolts clip themselves, and a fall drops you twice the distance above your last bolt
  • Dynos: charge, aim and jump across gaps too big to reach
  • Hazards: brittle ice, loose rock, rockfall, wind gusts, whiteouts and thin air above 4,000 m
  • Three medals per climb (summit, no falls, under par time) and 19 achievements
  • Global leaderboards for every climb, plus a new Daily Route each day
  • Free solo mode if you like living dangerously
  • Photo mode for the views. They're worth it.
